There’s room on the boat for all the sexualities. We don’t need to stab each other in the back, talk trash (unless it’s the fun kind), or point fingers at whole groups rather than individuals with bad behavior.
I had a trans ex tell me that being agender isn’t a real thing and that I needed to prove it. I know how easy it is to be pissed off! But don’t fall into the reciprocal othering of people just because it’s what’s being done to you. That whole interaction system is full of fail. Be strong, rise above, and DFTBA.
Don’t Forget To Be Awesome.
Oh wah, “pansexual” isn’t included in “LGBT”.
I don’t bitch when I can’t find a keychain with my name on it.
Why buy into labels anyway? Most places don’t recognize gender identity and are stuck in the binary, but you know who does? You, and the person(s) you choose to love. They better, or else they aren’t worth your time. Stop whining and just love.
Sincerely,
a pansexual with a really unpopular name
Well, yes and no. Labels shouldn’t be important. But some people use them as a way to assert themselves, and to explain who they are to others. They can help people wrap their minds around their own identity. If I had known pansexuality existed prior to this year, for example, I feel like I’d have saved myself a lot of grief and inner turmoil. I’m not saying that we should put people into metaphorical boxes, but sometimes it is nice to know— if you were to be put in a box— who’d be in there with you.
Also, I just hate blatant hypocrisy. From all sides and parties.
But yeah. Moral at the end of the day: everyone just love each other.

^ All this. Though I wouldn’t say I have it “worse” than others; at least I’m not being beaten up for my sexuality.
